Since 2020, Kristy’s been busy. She’s been evolving, honing her craft, educating, helping others, and still advocating for those in her community.
She’s also the loving mother to two teenage girls.
Kristy graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in education and later earned her principal certification from Edinboro University. Today, she is also completing her dissertation for her Phd. in Leadership at Gannon University. Since 2015, Kristy’s been teaching Nutrition and Culinary Arts in the classroom at McDowell Intermediate High School. She’s an adjunct professor at Gannon University, teaching “Women in Politics” and plans to teach Gannon’s new “Campaign Strategies,” class, too. Kristy is also a Big Sister and an advocate for women and mental health.
*What’s the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee?*
The (PADSC) is the governing body of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Founded in 1792, the PADSC is charged with steering the direction of the party and organizing for Democrats across the ballot! PADSC members, who are elected to four-year terms, meet in full three times each year. PADSC members elect party leadership, hold nominating conventions, pass and promote a party platform, and help lead organizing efforts all across the commonwealth.
Kristy knows firsthand how hardworking Pennsylvanians live and the kinds of sacrifices they make every day to provide for their families.
