Meet E. Paul Johnson, Wesleyville Mayor
E Paul Johnson II, a lifelong resident of Wesleyville, understands our community - he was mayor of Wesleyville for 22 years.
Mayor Johnson brought our community together once before… and he’s about to do it again. He takes office a second time on Jan. 3rd, 2022.
While E Paul Johnson was Mayor (1991-2013), businesses were brought to Wesleyville, our main corridor was improved, he worked closely with our police force and volunteer fire services, and helped improved parks. “E Paul”, as he's known, helped oversee Wesleyville Days, Wesleyville Neighborhood Watch, and the Haunted House while still run by the Borough as fundraisers.
Mayor-elect Johnson supports a responsible budget - he’s done that before, too.
Off to a great start, Mr. Johnson has already formed a transition “Committee to Improve Wesleyville”, its members include Jake Kenneth Arthur Wilder, Regina Guzel-Julius, Michael Nesgoda, Shawn Curry, Pastor Jeff Piccirilli, Sandy Morrow, Eric Franos, and Nancy Dusckas. Plans thus far include updates to the Buffalo Road corridor, a community garden at the former Bates Collision site, and updates to the aging Water Street Bridge. And there's more to come.
When asked what his goals as Mayor are, Mr. Johnson replied “working with the community and Boro. Council.”
Mayor-Elect Johnson has been married to his loving wife Cyndie Wegelin-Johnson for 41 years - to which they celebrated their Ruby Anniversary on December 5th., 2021.
Congrats Mayor Johnson, we can't wait to see you in action.
