VIDEO - 10/30/1956, Fire Destroys Nickel Plate Mills
Nickel Plate Mills once stood for 42 years in the Borough of Wesleyville at the corner of Buffalo Road and Willow St. It was one of the area’s oldest buildings. On the night of October 30, 1956, nearly 100 firemen battled the spectacular blaze, including seven County Fire Companies and the Erie Fire Dept. There were no injuries.
