Wesleyville Welcomes New Police Chief
Wesleyville has big news… meet new Chief of Police, Robert Buzanowski.
Chief Buzanowski, 45, has proudly served with the Borough as Sergeant since 2009. He replaces Robert Schulz who served as Chief of Police for 15 years.
When asked about the best part of the job, Chief Buzanowski said “There are many, but I would say the people I get to work with and meet. Also, there is something new every day and you never know what is going to happen or who you will meet.”
Buzanowski began his career in law enforcement in 2006. He obtained his PA Act 120 police training from Mercyhurst University in 2005. Prior to joining Wesleyville PD, Buzanowski worked for Gannon, Girard and Mercyhurst University police departments.
Buzanowski is born and raised in Erie, PA.
The Chief went on to say “The Borough can expect the same level of service that this Department has provided over the years. The Department looks forward to working with the community more and building a good rapport with its residents and all who visit the Boro. We want the community to know we are here for them and we have an open door for all to come talk with us about any concerns they might have.”
We wish to congratulate our new Chief of Police, Robert Buzanowski. Thank you for your service.
